職人介紹：
阿里山森林鐵路開發初期純以運材為主，砍伐後的原木由運材火車載運下山，展現簡單卻極具耐力與智慧，形成獨特的林業文化，亦是臺灣林業發展的珍貴文化資產。隨著時間的推移，阿里山的林業運輸方式逐漸進化，但台車運材依然是當地獨特的記憶與象徵。
In the early days, the timber transportation culture of Alishan relied on the primitive "tai-che" (wooden carts), which were typically pushed by a single person, navigating through the flat sugarcane fields or the steep mountainous terrain.In the Alishan mountain areas, these carts were mainly used to transport heavy timber. Although simple in design, they were remarkably resilient and clever in their functionality.As time passed, the methods of forestry transportation in Alishan gradually evolved, but the tai-che remains a unique memory and symbol of the region’s history.
